Every element of each drum in the Reference One drum construction is fine-tuned to deliver optimal performance, from the wood type and thickness of each shell to the bearing edge. Delivering the best elements from Pearl's historic Reference and Reference Pure Series drums, its reduced-thickness EvenPly shell is fitted with MasterCast Die-Cast hoops, for a radical combination sustain and attack. This Reference One shell pack features a 12x8 tom, 14x14 floor tom, and 20x14 bass drum in Pearl's Custom Lacquer Finish, and includes the R2 Air Tom Suspension System with 12mm vertical mount for perfectly balanced tom mounting and high-yield tonal clarity. Specifications: 20x14 - Bass Drum 14x14 Floor Tom 12x8 - Tom Reference Recipe shells feature a custom combination of premium Maple, Birch, and Mahogany panels from Pearl's Masterworks Veneer Vault; individually configured for each drum in the set for optimum performance. Tom toms include the R2 Air Tom Suspension system with 12mm vertical mount, which mounts each drum by four unique points for optimum tone and resonance at any angle. All Reference One toms feature Mastercast Die-Cast Hoops for increased top-end projection. Pearl's self-aligning Single Swivel STL100 Lugs w/Brass receiver inserts are fitted with SST Stainless Steel Tension Rods for optimum tuning.
