I love Supergoop!, but sometimes I have to break up with it for a few weeks at a time, because I simply can’t afford to keep paying $36 for such a little tube. Still, it’s worth it to not have that sticky white cast most other sunscreens give me, and I love the feeling of added moisture and reduced oiliness it gives me. Plus, it’s always available at Sephora. For gel sunscreens, it’s definitely ol’ reliable.

There was literally no difference between this one and the dupe from Trader Joe’s. And with it being ten times more expensive, I’m begging you to save your money.

Watermelon Face Mist

I’m a travel writer who doesn’t fly, so I spend days on Amtrak trains. I used this mist while I was traveling on the Texas Eagle through 100-degree temperatures with not-so-great air conditioning. It was a revelation, cooling me down for a while but most of all hydrating my skin and surrounding me with the mesmerizing scent of watermelon, which was a vibe. This came out as an ultra-fine mist, which means it gave me more coverage and didn’t drip down my face. I felt hydrated for a while after that and didn’t need to reapply for a few hours until I got home.
